How to use

Before you begin the treatment please discontinue all hair removal methods in the treatment area EXCEPT for shaving including waxing, hair removal creams or chemicals, tweezing and electrolysis. Make sure you shave the area the day before the treatment. Always remember to do a patch test 24 hours before starting treatment.
We recommend you treat the area once a week for 12 weeks to catch all the unwanted hair.
Switch to maintenance treatments and top-up every 4-8 weeks to remain hair-free.

How to use

Shave all visible hair in the area you want to treat, ensuring there is no hair remaining above the surface of the skin. Clean the treatment area and pat dry and thoroughly. DON'T use any gels or creams with this device! Always perform a patch test.

Turn on Pure Ice by pressing the power button. You will see a sweep of white lights as the device switches on, and the fan will start up. Push the power button to choose your comfort mode.

Gently hold the device against your skin, press the activation button and flash. Move the device with each flash to cover the treatment area.

IPL is most effective when there is a contrast between the skin and hair

IPL isn’t effective on white or grey hair due to lower amounts of melanin, and red hair contains a different type of melanin which isn’t responsive to IPL.

It is not suitable for use on deep skin tones or skin rich in melanin

Really impressed with this device!
I didn’t expect much, as it was my first time using IPL and I wasn’t sure it would actually work, but the results have been much better than expected!

It took about 2 to 3 weeks to see the first noticeable changes—some areas of hair weren’t growing back at all, which was amazing. Now I’m on week 5, and I can definitely see that a lot of hair is gone. I also feel that the remaining hair is growing back much more slowly.

The device itself is lovely—very sleek in design and super easy to use. The ice-cooling sensation is very soothing and makes the treatment painless. The only time I felt anything was when I hadn’t shaved properly and there was still a bit of hair left, so just make sure your skin is smooth before starting the treatment.

I was also impressed by how fast the treatment is. I’d say both underarms take me less than 2 minutes!

Overall, I’m super happy and really excited to see the final results after 12 weeks of use. I can’t wait to enjoy a hair-free summer 😃

As someone who has had to shave my legs everyday due to fast hair re-growth I was skeptical about trying this product. However, after 8 weeks I have noticed a big difference in the speed of the hair re-growth which has resulted in having to shave much less frequently.
The product is very easy to use and each treatment only took 5-10 minutes which was much less time consuming than I had expected.
I found it to be totally pain free also
Overall I have been pleasantly surprised and will continue to use for the recommended 12 weeks, hopefully seeing a further reduction in hair re-growth.

Shaving has always left my underarms dry and irritated, and while I’ve tried waxing in the past, I found it quite harsh on my skin. The SmoothSkin Pure Ice device offers the long-term solution I've been waiting for!

I’ve been really impressed with this device so far. I have fair skin with a mix of light and medium brown hair, and after just 4 weeks of use I’ve already seen a noticeable reduction in hair growth. Since switching to the Pure Ice device, I’ve had fewer ingrown hairs and an improvement in my skin texture.

I typically use it straight after showering and shaving. Once I’m dry, I can get started within minutes. The time between pulses is very fast, so treatments don’t take long at all. It’s quick and easy to use and, while shaving my armpits didn't ever take long, this device offers me a long-term solution, and avoids the skin damage I often noticed after shaving.

Unlike waxing, the treatment itself is painless. You feel a slight warmth from the light, but the sapphire cooling feature balances it out immediately.

The device is quiet, sleek, and feels high quality. I love the colour, too - I think it looks really modern and premium.
